System Change Update for Patients and Changes in Opening Hours

Opening Hours

From Monday 10th June 2024 our opening hours will be changing slightly.
Both our Ireland Wood and New Croft Surgery will be opening from 8am every day and closing at 6pm.
We will still offer telephone appointments from 7am – 8am two days per week at each site (Monday and Tuesday at Ireland Wood, and Wednesday and Friday at New Croft) and these appointments can be pre-booked.

System Change

Patient’s will be aware of our upcoming system change, which is due to take place on Monday 10th June. From 10th June our practice will be using ‘SystmOne’. There are a few important points for patient’s to be aware of:

  • Online services will be disrupted during the changeover period. We are currently awaiting clear instruction on how to get patient’s online accounts up and running again. Patient’s using the ‘Patient Access’ platform need to be aware that this is linked to our old clinical system and will not work once we have changed to SystmOne. We will be contacting patients with instruction about how to get your online accounts up and running once the new system has gone live. You do not need to contact the practice about this.

Until 10th June, prescriptions will be printed as we will not be able to send them electronically to your nominated pharmacy.

Please be aware that due to the disruption to online services, our telephone lines are busier than usual. Please be patient with our team. It is through no fault of their own that the telephone lines are busy and they are working hard to deal with calls as quickly as they can. You can help them by keeping your enquiries short and to the point, which will allow the reception teams to get through the waiting queue of patients much faster.

Patient arrival screens (otherwise known as self check-in screens) will not be working for at least a week after our system change. We will ensure that one of the reception computers is set up so that patients can check in when arriving for appointments.

Online consultations (otherwise known as e-consultations) will be suspended until after the system change is complete. They will be active again on our website from Monday 17th June.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
