System Change 11th June – How will the affect patients? What do patients need to know? What do patients need to do?

  • Repeat prescriptions – if you have a medicine on repeat prescription, and your prescription is due to run out between 31st May and 11th June you will need to order this early, by 30th May. It is really important that you order your prescription early to ensure that it is sent to your nominated pharmacy on time. We will accept early requests for prescriptions from 16th May.
    Normal service will resume once our system change is complete.

  • Online Services – ‘Patient Access’ will not work once our practice changes clinical computer system. We would advise that patients switch to the NHS app before the system change. You can also use the SystmOne app once our system change is complete. We will send out details of logging into the new app once our system change is complete

  • Booking appointments online – We cannot offer appointments to book online for a couple of weeks whilst our system change takes place. This means that no appointments will be available to book online from 3rd June onwards. Once our system change has been completed we will make appointments available to book online once again. We anticipate being able to offer more appointments to book via online services once our new clinical system is up and running.
     
  • Online Consultations – We will not be able to offer online consultations between 3rd and 14th June. Online consultations will become available again from 17th June.

We continue to offer face to face and telephone appointments during this time, but you will need to book these either over the phone or in person.

Please be patient with our staff who are working hard to complete their training in the new system. We hope that once our new system is in place we will be able to offer better access to patients using online services, and therefore reduce the pressure on our phone lines resulting in shorter waiting times for our patients.
