What are maternity notes?
Maternity notes are the place where we write or record information about your medical history and pregnancy. They are medical records for your pregnancy.
When you have an appointment with your midwife or doctor they will write information in your maternity notes. This includes things like what was discussed at the appointment, test results, vaccines you’ve had and your measurements. You can find out more about some of the words used in your notes in this helpful guide on the Tommy’s website: Your antenatal ‘notes’
What can I do using My Pregnancy Notes?
- Record your Personalised Care Plan
- Note down any questions to ask your midwife at your next appointment
- Add notifications, for example changing GPs or moving away from the area
- Access leaflets and information
- Add Your Maternity Exemption Certificate and MAT B1
- Be remotely monitored, if suitable.
If you have already had your first appointment with a midwife you can still register for My Pregnancy Notes. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours for your records to be merged.
